Hoth T-Shirt – Where’s a Taun Taun when you need one?

Star Wars T-Shirt

And I thought they smelled bad on the outside. Quite roomy though.

Snow is falling across London at the moment, and is ruining my plans for the weekend. If only this was the ice planet, Hoth, I could relax in the familiar surroundings of Echo Base. I’ll have to settle for this Hoth T-Shirt. Well, I haven’t looked at a Star Wars tee in a while.

There are several similarities between London at the moment and Hoth. It’s snowing… well, there’s probably some other stuff too, right? But it’s the differences that stand out the most. For a start, if I get cold strolling around Kilburn, I can’t slice anything open and live inside it. It’s not that I have an objection to the activity per se, but there are very few living things in that neck of the woods that would fit me. The day they let cows graze in Queen’s Park, I’m sorted, but until then, when it snows, I’ll just have to settle for going indoors. You’ve got to feel sorry for Taun Tauns really. Not only do they live on one of the galaxy’s least hospitable planets, they have ice monsters and insensitive pirates wielding lightsabers desecrating their corpses to keep their Jedi buddies warm to worry about. I can’t imagine it’s a particularly pleasant existence. But then again, nor is mine at the moment. Not having a Taun Taun, I have to rely on a Train Train. Or even just a train. And I’m guessing that won’t be working. And my weekend plans have been cancelled due to weather. And I haven’t got my walking boots or nice Scotch whisky (a must for the cold) on me at the moment either. Not that this compares to the true suffering of a beast forced to ferry rebels around Hoth, but it’s a bit sucky nonetheless.

Make your experience of the snow a little less sucky by buying yourself this Star Wars T-Shirt. You can buy it at where it’s available for $16.99. It comes in blue and there are lots of sizes to choose from. AS for me, I shall drink some cocoa and try to stave off hypothermia. Such fun.

Stormtrooper T-Shirt – This IS the shirt I’m looking for.

You can go about your business, Mr Mouse…

The Stormtrooper T-Shirt is the perfect garment for me today. It’s current and topical, though the only “topical” I need is the ointment kind for my ruined forehead. Let me tell you a tale…

So, some idiot (Me) decided to participate in yesterday’s Halloween celebrations by donning a particularly gruesome look (No, not just my normal face). I went as a guy who’d been shot in the head (as you do) and it looked really horrible, which is good for halloween. The only problem being that, because of overuse of fake blood, I have stained my forehead orange-red. I look like an overgrown Umpa Lumpa whose reconstructive surgery didn’t go quite as well as hoped. Though with the face paint that won’t wash out of my eyelashes, some have said I more closely resemble the world’s ugliest drag queen with a touch of dermatitis. Which is lovely. I tried everything to get it out. before you suggest anything, I already tried it. Seriously, I have had the lot on my forehead as of this morning. So what I really need, ironically the day after halloween, is a mask. Or a helmet, and that’s why the Stormtrooper helmet would be spot on. And a t-shirt that’s brighter than my face right now would be a good distraction too.

Now, as for the whole “Disney Buys Star Wars” thing, I’m sort of undecided and underwhelmed by the whole thing. They can’t do worse than Jar Jar Binks (I hope) and the plan always was to do nine films, so it’s good that that’s happening. And George didn’t seem to be as in love with the films as he used to be, and Disney is very good at making family films, which is what Star Wars always was. On the other hand, there are enough cartoons doing the rounds on the internet of Darth Pluto and Mickey Mouse as the Emperor to put me off. Time will tell, but I’m sure to pick up the next trilogy regardless. Not that he’ll ever read it or know about it or care, but I’d like to say thanks to Mr Lucas for creating the concept and the universe and the first three films that have made all of us nerds/geeks very happy over the years. May the force be with you, George.

Back to this rather splendid t-shirt, you can pick one up for yourself at where it’ll cost you £15.99. It comes in red and sizes go from Jawa to Jabba (that’s Small to XL to you). It’s a grand looking tee, and if my head wasn’t glowing and if I weren’t feeling so sorry for myself, I’d praise it in a little more detail. But it is, and I am, so I’m not.

Rebel Alliance Tee – The Force Is Strong With This Tee

Show me to my X-Wing!

A Star Wars t-shirt is not an uncommon site these days. In fact, if you google the term “star wars t-shirt” you’ll find a million designs, ranging from the humorous to the iconic. So why did I choose this, the relatively simple Rebel Alliance Tee?

This will not be the last Star Wars tee that I share with you, but it is, perhaps, the most understated. In an age when George Lucas’ original trilogy have inspired more films, tv shows, comic books, toys and so, so much more, sometimes it’s nice to get back to basics. And when every aspect of the films is being analysed be geeks the world over, from who shot first (Han or Greedo) to the plausibility of Ewoks defeating an Imperial Army, the Rebel Alliance emblem gets far too little attention. Just look at it. It’s pretty cool as far as emblems go, like the phoenix rising from the surface of a planet. It deserves a bit of celebration and this t-shirt makes that much easier to do. And it’s much more subtle than walking around with a wookie staring out of your chest.

Grab your own from where it’ll cost you no more than £11.99 (great price!). What’s more, it comes in 19 different colours so whatever your style might be, you should be alright. And may the force be with you.

Where Am I?
